Suzuki GSX 1000S Made In 1982

The Katana range established a tradition of converting concept bikes into reality that continues to this day with the recent introduction of the B King and the suggestion that the Stratosphere six will emerge as a production bike.

By the late seventies Suzuki's GS1000 was being pushed in the market place by revised models form Kawasaki and Honda. Suzuki's answer, given that the machines engine and handling were still among the best in its class was to adopt a radical styling concept. The new model incorporated a top half fairing that was integrated into the overall styling of the flowing bodywork.

Mechanically the engine and transmission remained little changed from the GS1000 and were housed in a conventional tubular steel cradle frame with pivoted fork suspension. The front forks were equipped with an anti dive system.

Suzuki T200 Invader Made in 1968

The T200 shared many of the features that had contributed to the larger T20 Super Six models success. The models 23bhp output, light weight (122 kilos) and five speed gearbox resulted in a claimed top speed of 88 mph whilst a twin leading shoe front brake and twin down tube cradle frame endowed the motorcycle with good handling.

Equipment levels were typically high with an attractive combined speedometer and tachometer housed in the headlamp shell, "posi lube" lubrication and twin carburettors being standard features.

Suzuki RS67

First raced Japanese Grand Prix 1967 (last race of the season in October). 90 degree V4, 4 X 24mm carbs, 4 geared cranks, 12 gears, liquid cooled, positive oil lubrication, disc valve induction.

Peak power 42 BHP at 16,500 revs (by Feb of 68 power improved to 43.8BHP), top speed 137 mph, dry sump gearbox with forced lubication from a trochoidal pump.

Extensive use of titanium and alloy (frame made from alloy) 95kg weight. Engine produces 340 bhp/litre! Banned after FIM changed the rules and limited 125s to 2 cylinders.

Suzuki Hayabusa 2008

The 2008 Hayabusa is a sporting motorcycle that has become a performance legend in its own time.

An aerodynamic machine inspired by and named for a Japanese peregrine falcon known for cutting through the wind with incredible ease.

Updated to reach new levels of engine efficiency and smooth drivability, with more displacement and broader torque throughout the rpm range, a better power-to-weight ratio and lower emissions.

Hayabusa combines seemingly effortless acceleration, wind-cheating aerodynamics, sporty handling, timeless style, long-distance comfort and unlimited excitement.

Suzuki Biplane

Suzuki uses colours similar to the canvas often found on older aircraft, and the lack of any wind protection would also leave the rider exposed to the elements - similar to the pilot of an open-top aircraft.

Chances are that you'll be able to fly in this Biplane and put just about any other vehicle on the road to shame with your speed.

The Suzuki Biplane concept uses a semi-exposed V4 engine for power, and a girder-type front end.
